Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply for Housing?

Call us on 01792 479200 to go through an application for housing over the phone.  You will need your national insurance number and details of your income to hand when you call.  For more information on how to apply, view our Looking for a Home Page.

Are your lists open?

Check the Housing Register page of our website to see if the lists for the areas you want to apply for are open.  If they are give us a call on 01792 479200 and the applications team can carry out an assessment over the phone.  Remember to have your national insurance number with you when you call.

How long does it take to be housed once I'm on the housing register?

We usually advise there is a wait of between 6-18 months to be housed with us, although this is only a rough timescale.  We can only house people when we have available properties so in some cases the wait could be shorter or longer than 6-18 months.  As long as you respond to any review letters or texts you receive you will remain on the waiting list and we will be in contact when something comes up.
