Current Developments

Coed Darcy, Neath

Receiving funding from the Welsh Government’s Innovative Housing Programme, this exciting project brings the first modular homes to Coastal. With 50 homes in total, 8 modular and 42 traditionally built homes, this development will include bungalows, houses and flats all for social rent. With handover of the modular homes completed in Summer 2022, the final handover of the development is due Winter 2024.

Our modular homes were delivered in sections weighing 11 tons, that were then hoisted into place on a pre-prepared slab for connection to utilities and final works. All of the modular homes were manufactured off site by Ilke Homes and Daiwa House Europe, and then delivered to our site in Neath. Benefits of building modular homes include a shorter construction time as well as reducing carbon emissions by half of site built homes.
