Now Recruiting to Coastal's Development Team - Coastal Housing Group

Now recruiting development roles

Join our development team and help us make waves

We're at the cutting edge of low-carbon development in Wales

Green infrastructure is an important part of our development ethos

Coastal has a diverse programme of new build, regeneration and sales, with a number of innovative schemes currently on-site and in the pipeline. We have recently undergone a restructure of the team and are now seeking a number of people to join us.

We’re looking to fill the following roles in our dynamic development team to help deliver our ambitious programme and work with us on our zero-carbon mission:

Growth and Partnership Manager – This key role will support two development managers to deliver affordable housing and housing for sale. This is a key member of the management team who has responsibility for ensuring our ambitious development programme is delivered on time and in budget.

Development Programme Manager – This role will keep strict focus on viability, value for money and affordability in line with business plan objectives.

Land and New Business Manager – This role will lead on all new business and land negotiations.

Development Manager – This role will have early involvement at feasibility stage and will manage the scheme through design, planning and into build contract.

Contract & Quality Managers x 2 – These roles will manage schemes from start on site to end of defects liability including quality inspections and contract management.

Technical & Quality Manager – This role will be responsible for technical issues on-site and technical standards specifications and documentation.

The continuous improvement of the Development team is integral to the future success of programme delivery and Coastal’s contribution to supporting housing need. With grant rates reducing and build standards increasing, viabilities are being challenged and the sector is demanding efficiency. We need our team to match the evolution of the sector, ensuring we are well placed to take a financially robust approach, achieve value for money and build high-quality affordable homes.

The world is also demanding a shift in relation to environmental sustainability and we need to meet this challenge. It is essential we have the right skills in place within the development function to support and enable smart housing delivery and our new structure will provide focus and skilled resources to critical roles, serve to strengthen the department at key stages of the development process and strengthen accountability, functionality and viability.
