As part of the ongoing redevelopment of the Kingsway in Swansea, Coastal partnered with the local council and Welsh Government to help deliver their green infrastructure objectives and bring the first green walls to Swansea. Thanks to Welsh Government’s Transforming Towns Grant and Green Infrastructure Grant.

Green walls (also known as plant walls, living walls or vertical gardens) incorporate nature into urban environments and can benefit the area by improving air quality in the city, improving urban biodiversity and reducing and absorbing noise levels from city centre traffic.
