Looking after yourself is really important and although there are lots of things you can do to help your wellbeing, don’t forget that there is still support available for you if you need it.

    • www.mind.org.uk has lots of ideas for ways in which you can take care of your mental health and wellbeing as well as practical advice for staying at home
    • Mental Health UK has tips for anyone feeling anxious or stressed with information on the simple steps you can take to look after your mental health and wellbeing  https://mentalhealth-uk.org
    • If you are worried that your partner, or that of a friend or family member, is controlling and abusive, you can go to www.womensaid.org.uk for support and information, including Live Chat, the Survivors’ Forum, The Survivor’s Handbook and the Domestic Abuse Directory.
    • Samaritans has a free to call service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, if you want to talk to someone in confidence. Call them on 116 123
    • A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a medical emergency.  Call 999 if you or someone you know experiences an acute life-threatening medical or mental health emergency
    • This great resource from South Wales Police lists loads of different places to go for advice and support.
    • You can also look on Dewis Cymru or Infoengine which both have lots of information on where you can find help and support in your area.
